One of the main questions we get on a daily basis is that do you sell nicotine with your juices? Unfortunately it is illegal for us to sell ejuice with nicotine. This may come as a shock to many new vapers and customers from out of town. We are one of the few countries in the world that ban vape juice with nicotine. All juices in Australia must be sold with 0% nicotine to be legal.
Why you might ask?
The TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) classified nicotine a “dangerous poison” and bans the sale of it in ejuice. It is listed as a schedule 4 poison. Which means that it requires a prescription from a doctor.
You can find more information here: https://www.tga.gov.au/book-page/21-nicotine-0
So can you import juices with nicotine from overseas?
According to the TGA, there are no restrictions on import but you may commit an offence under state and territory laws. You can import for individual use but you will need a prescription and cannot import more than a 3 month supply.
Will Australia allow nicotine in the juices soon?
There are a variety of groups challenging the classification of nicotine (leaglisevaping.com.au and nnalliance.org.au). Recent attempts have not changed the TGA’s decision. This does not mean that the fight is over. A variety of organisations are lobbying to help make this change. We encourage you to speak to your local MP. Share your story.
If you purchase nicotine by itself, you will need to mix it into your 0% nicotine ejuice. There are a variety of websites that offer this solution. Many Australians purchase ejuice with nicotine from New Zealand. Because of the proximity the shipping time is between 3 to 5 days.
